Corinna Sowers Adler

Corinna Sowers Adler has been performing since age 9 and made her solo New York Cabaret Debut in 2010 at the Laurie Beechman Theater in Stories…A Cabaret.  Since then, Corinna has been in high demand, performing solo shows at Stage 72 at the Triad, the legendary Duplex Cabaret, Feinstein’s at Loews Regency, Metropolitan Room and recently debuting at 54 BELOW where she presented her show, By Request, where Corinna tailors the show to be comprised of all requested songs, including the personalized story behind the song.  Corinna was honored to make her Lincoln Center debut as a featured singer on The 24th Annual Cabaret Convention and appeared again in The 25th Annual Cabaret Convention both held at Jazz at Lincoln Center presented by The Mabel Mercer Foundation.  In December of 2011, Corinna began the monthly series, “Music at the Mansion”, which was nominated for a 2012 MAC award.  Corinna hosts the series and was nominated for the 2012 BroadwayWorld Cabaret Awards in the “Best Female Vocalist” and “Best Host of a Variety Show” categories.  As a Director, Corinna and her Husband Nicholas, have produced two Off Broadway productions Music and Lyrics By Her featuring Broadway performers Mimi Besette, Andrea Frierson and Nikki Macullum and Shows Ta Go Ya & Other Songs of Bobbie Horowitz which featured cabaret greats Dana Lorge, Stearns Matthews, Warren Shein and Bob Diamond.  Corinna is currently the Executive Director of the Gas Lamp Academy of Performing Arts and Gas Lamp Players.  Before moving to New Jersey in 2009, Corinna served as the Director of Theatre for the Wilkes University Conservatory in Wilkes-Barrre, PA. She also held the position of Artistic Director of Children’s Theatre at the Historic Pocono and Bucks County Playhouses. She has performed across the country in theatrical productions and cabarets alike. Favorite roles include Mother in Ragtime, Carlotta in Phantom, and Amy in Company.
